About Russell Transport
Founded by Roy Bayley Russell in 1925, Russell Transport Pty Ltd has expanded steadily over the decades. What began as three trucks is now a full fleet, operating Australia-wide to continued acclaim. Originally based in a warehouse on New Farm Wharf, the business later moved to Macquarie Street, New Farm, relocating in 1970 to Fison Avenue, Eagle Farm.
In 1971, the business was handed over to Roy’s son, Philip Russell, who has managed it ever since, expanding Russell Transport Pty Ltd in the logistics and mobile crane service sectors. Today, the Russell Group consists of Russell Transport, Metro Lift Cranes, Caloundra General Transport, Bayley Industrial and Lytton Industrial.
