Christmas Jumper Day
Staff at Markes International’s HQ (in Bridgend, Wales) took part in Save the Children’s annual ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ on 08 December 2022, opting to wear festive jumpers, hats and costumes in lieu of their usual office or production attire by making a donation to the worldwide charity. As well as raising hundreds of £’s for Save the Children, managers and staff alike vied to win ‘best dressed individual’ and ‘best dressed team’ prizes, the winners of which were announced at the company’s Christmas party.
Christmas Party
Due to previous Covid-19 restrictions, for the first time in three years Markes International was able to have a Christmas party. It was held at a 4-star country house hotel, close to the company’s HQ in Bridgend, Wales.
Staff enjoyed an evening of free festive food, drinks and dancing, plus transport to and from the hotel. Spaced between the three course meal and entertainment sections of the party, the senior management team presided over the first ever ‘Schauenburg Analytics Awards’, announcing the winners and presenting them with prizes. There were six categories in-all, covering a variety of team and individual achievements over the past year. Nominations were made by the staff themselves, and the Awards were open to everyone in the wider company group, regardless of which office they were based in throughout the world, or which company they worked for (Markes International, SepSolve Analytical, Schauenburg Analytics).
The Award ceremony was topped off with the lighter themed Christmas Jumper Day winners prize-giving.
